Iban and Filipino women become Muslims

The Belait Dakwah Department recently held a conversion ceremony for two Iban and two Filipino women, which took place at the department's office.

The new converts - Norsalawati anak Gawing, 24, Jennifer anak Ambau, 22, Danie llia Batrishya, 3, and Gloria Caula Arguelles, 33, recited the 'dua kalimah syahadah' in the presence of the head religious officer of Kuala Belait, Awang Haji Matzin bin Haji Muntol.

They chose their new Muslim names as Nurul Khairunnisa Qalesya binti Abdullah Gawing, Inarah Sahira binti Abdullah Ambau, Nurul Amani Batrisya bin Abdullah and Amal Huriah binti Abdullah Arguelles, respectively.
