Accompanied by their two supervising teachers, the visit aimed to expose the students to the main role that Pusat Ehsan plays in society as well as to develop ties between them and the centre.
Present to greet the students upon their arrival was the Head of Administration, Awg Hj Abd Hamid Maaruf, who led the group to the main conference room for a briefing as well as a video clip presentation, which was followed by a cash donation contributed by the club.
Awg Hj Abd Hamid, who accepted the contribution on behalf of the centre, expressed his appreciation and gratitude for this act of kindness.
The visiting group were later taken on a tour of centre, which included visiting various classrooms, the workshop, rehabilitation unit, hydroponics and the orchid garden. They were also given the opportunity to mingle with the children at the centre.
As a non-government body and non-profit organisation, the centre welcomes any form of contribution from members of the public, which assists the centre in carrying out learning, training and rehabilitation programmes for special needs children in the country.
Apart from contributions from members of the public, the centre also holds fundraising activities. One such activity is the upcoming Charity Bazaar, which is held annually.
The bazaar this year is scheduled to take place between October 2 and 3.
A total of 120 booths have been provided for the public to conduct their businesses. Entry forms are available at Pusat Ehsan's Administration Section or can be obtained by contacting Ruby or Jasmina at 2655245.
