Kg Jerudong consultative council members led by its Chairman, Hj Rais bin Hj Ishak yesterday conducted an activity to erect a temporary barrier to prevent irresponsible members of the public from throwing rubbish indiscriminately at Spg 396 in Jln Jerudong.
He said an application for a rubbish disposal site in the village has been forwarded to the relevant government agencies and urged the residents to be patient. He also urged the council members to report to the relevant authorities any individuals or irresponsible parties who dump rubbish indiscriminately for action to be taken against them.
The Secretary of the village council, Hj Mustapa bin Masri urged the villagers to dispose their rubbish at the appropriate site in Kg Tanjong Nangka or to subscribe to a rubbish collection service.
