The EPL All-Stars Masters team claimed the EPL Masters Football Brunei Cup 2012 last night after beating Liverpool Masters 7-4 in the final.
Prior to the loss, Liverpool Masters had gone unbeaten in their previous three games, beating DPMM FC Masters 3-0, Manchester United Masters 7-3 and the EPL All-Stars Masters 8-3 in the round-robin stage.
Despite their crushing loss to the Liverpool Masters en-route to the final, the EPL All-Stars Masters beat the Manchester United Masters 4-3 in their opening game and comfortably beat the DPMM FC Masters 6-1.
The only other game saw the DPMM FC Masters go down fighting, slipping to a third consecutive defeat of the tournament 8-4 against the Manchester United Masters.
DPMM FC Masters' Brian Iman was nominated the Best Local Player of the tournament, with EPL All-Stars Masters' player Regi Blinker not only claiming the player of the tournament for a second year running, but sharing the golden boot with Kop Legend Robbie Fowler and former QPR striker Kevin Gallen, who scored eight goals a-piece during this year's tournament.
